My Favorite Music I have a wide range of musical interests that includes such artists as: The Beatles They're simply the best band ever, enduring the last 40 years very gracefully. They've sold over 70% more albums than their nearest competitor, Elvis. They Might Be Giants They're the grandfathers of geek rock. The diversity of their songs is amazing. Their music is unlike any other band. Ken Tamplin His talent as a singer and musician is among the very best. Whether in groups like Shout or Magdallan, solo, or playing with his "friends", he always produces top quality work. Joe Satriani He's the greatest guitar player of all time. Not only can he shred with the best, he can write great music as well. The Cars They're the very best of the 80's new wave bands. What's more, their videos were innovative and original, not just scabby concert footage. Petra They're the oldest and best Christian rock band. They finally just retired after 31 strong years. They helped pave the way for Christian rock bands to cross over into mainstream music. Weird Al Yankovic Yikes! What can I say? He's the king of comic music, the poobah of parody. The fact that he's still cranking out great albums after all these years is a testament to his talent. Devo I really liked the early work of this pioneer techno band. I wasn't as thrilled with their later work. They peaked with their 4th album, New Traditionalists. Oingo Boingo Their early stuff was also their best. Their 1st album, Only A Lad, was their paragon, but they were good through their 4th album, Dead Man's Party. Brother Hailing from Australia and sporting Scottish names, they incorporate the didgeridoo and bagpipes to add a worldly sound to their genre-bending rock music. Daniel Amos/Swirling Eddies They're the first and greatest Christian alternative band. They have always been ahead of their time and even reinvented themselves a few times. Five Iron Frenzy This Christian ska band creates fresh music that makes you think. They are also a bit crazy, which adds to the mix.
